During Freebie February we had a blast at the Reggae Roast.

So did the Reggae Choir. And so did the guys at The Grafton.

So we’ve all got together again to offer OurCamden members and non members an amazing opportunity. Every Sunday from the 18th May until the 22nd June,  we are going to be at the Grafton from 12pm-2pm.  We want to start a choir! And we’d love you to join us.

There is no audition and no experience necessary. Singing is a joyful activity we all enjoy (whether we admit to it in public or not). It’s the reason we sing in the shower, around the house, at karaoke nights or on the football stands. It makes us feel good and anyone can do it!

The Reggae Choir make singing fun using reggae-themed music whilst teaching basic singing skills, including warm-up exercises, breathing and vocal techniques, harmonies and breath control, all within a creative and laughter-filled environment. In Reggae Choir you can expect to sing many styles of reggae including two-tone, rock steady, ska, lover’s rock and classic reggae hits. We even do Reggified songs. That is, well known pop songs given a reggae twist. Imagine Amy Winehouse’s ‘Valerie’ with a thumping bass line.

Music is an amazing thing!  It can lift us up. Create and recall memories.  Make us think and feel. Build confidence and nurture relationships. It can literally change lives.

So why not join us? You’ll have a blast. That’s a promise!

PS… The guys at The Grafton are amazing in letting us use this space (we hope some of them will even join in!) so make sure you try their beers and food. And tell them you found it through OurCamden!
