Legal and Above Board

Governance

From 1st April 2014, OurCamden is a part of The Holy Cross Centre Trust. HCCT is a charity that has been working in Camden since December 1988, and was a founding partner of OurCamden.

HCCT took over the management of the service and have guaranteed that they will support the service and keep it the way it is developed, as well as taking on the employment of Dee. Members will see little difference in practice with the change.

As a service, we still have our original social mission and want to make a difference. For OurCamden that's all about reducing social isolation, improving health and well-being as well as increasing local spend.

Whilst we don't have a legal need to have a Board of Directors any more, HCCT want to have a Steering Group who will continue to make the strategic decisions about OurCamden. That Steering Group will continue to have representatives from the founding Camden Charities. We have Sassaka Amena from Age UK Camden, Alex Smith from North London Cares and Sam Hopley from Holy Cross Community Trust. We also have Paul Carroll, who works for Camden Council and is an OurCamden member. Graham and Dee will also be joining the group.

We also have a regular Members Involvement Meeting, which is open to all members, and where you can share your ideas. Interested? why not get in touch

  • OC Event Deposits- Any deposits you pay for an OC event are non-refundable.
  • Photography at OC Events- We love taking pictures of OC Members having a great time together, using them regularly on our social media feeds & website pages.  We understand that some of you may be a bit camera shy, so please let us know at the beginning of any event you attend if you don't want us using pictures of you for OC stuff!
